On November 29, 1979 Gene Pletzer started Gene's Professional Hair Care in Madison, Wisconsin. Throughout the past 33 years Gene changed many lives through his passion of helping others with hair loss and general hair care needs. Gene was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in January of 2012 and unfortunately passed away on March 2nd 2013. Gene was blessed to have a great staff with an average tenure of 22 years at Gene's and 31 years in the industry, maintaining Gene's as the most experienced salon specializing in Hair Restoration in Madison, WI. Even though Gene is no longer with us, his memory lives on through what is now called Gene's Hair Solutions. At Gene's Hair Solutions we realize hair loss can not only take a physical toll on the individual but a psychological toll as well. For that reason Gene's offers a private consultation room and 5 private stylist rooms. Your comfort and privacy is our top priority. Gene's Hair Solutions is also a proud member of Transitions International, a national hair loss organization. Reputation: Malia grew up on a farm outside of Plain, Wisconsin. She has always enjoyed doing hair. She graduated from Empire Beauty School in 2010 and has been in a salon atmosphere the past two years. Malia enjoys precision hair cuts, as well as coloring and high lighting. She also enjoys educating people on hair loss and their options. Malia pays close attention to precision hair cuts and keeps up on trending color techniques, and she also does manicures, pedicures and hair restoration.
